I booked Star Island-without the presentation. However, I was called multiple times to attend a presentation. Very annoying. Also, I was not notified that the watersports, which was a key selling point for me, would not be available the week I was there and also, the outdoor hot-tub, which is open the latest, was not open for much of my trip. Also, parking was horrendus. I also found out, after I got there, that wireless internet access was not provided and had to be purchased and that towel service was $8 a time and they did not like to do it without a days notice. The only good think about Star-Island was the room, which was very nice and accomodating for the price, just not the amenities or the service. If asked to choose this resort again, I would probably refrain. Also, the outdoor pool activities were lackluster. They basically consisted of one guy and a keyboard and what he thought was fun, like limbo (basically for the biki-clad ladies and not kid friendly)

I am traveling to Orland with 10 other people including 5 kids; however, 90 minute presentation has discouraged me form booking this resort since I am not going to purchase a vacation home or time-share.
