The Coveted Deep Breath
May 2009

Traveling and going on vacations is something that everyone wishes they had more time and money to partake in. Most of us work five days a week, week after week, year after year, until we retire, or partner up with someone who makes enough money to free us from the monotony. Hence, we go on vacations. For a few days, maybe even more, we are allowed to release our minds and our bodies from the daily grind, take a deep breath, and remind ourselves why it is we work so hard for the mighty dollar. While some might see a vacation as loading up a backpack with non-perishables and heading in to the wilderness, others prefer to sit back and relax on a beach, perhaps on a secluded island, perhaps at a Five Star Resort. Either way, finding a trip that aligns with your style of relaxation is the first step to escaping the shackles of occupational imprisonment and seeking out the coveted deep breath.

Equally as important as finding a relaxing location to spend your rationed vacation days, is coming back with tales of your travels able to leave your co-workers green with envy. I mean, if you are satisfied with returning to your 9 to 5 with digital photos of your family vacation to the World’s Largest Ball of Twine, excellent. Head out to Kansas for a weekend and be sure to bring an extra memory card, you will need multiple angles to capture the excitement. I hear it is as amazingly impressive as a giant ball of twine could possibly be. However, if you are the kind of person wanting to show up at the water cooler with a fresh new tan from spending your days on the white sands of some of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean, or boasting about the eclectic local cuisine sampled while at a bus stop on the way to the City of Truth in Thailand, perhaps your search should continue beyond the realm of a landmark dedicated to a house cat’s biggest fantasy. Perhaps, your search should continue to SaveOnResorts.com.

Chance dictates most of you have been to Mexico, or at least thought of traveling there. If you have not, get on it. You won’t regret it. The five days I spent at a Five Star Resort in Puerto Vallarta remain one of my fondest memories, slightly blurred, but fond nonetheless. If you have been there, or even if you haven’t, it might be time to graduate to the next level of vacation travel. Most have never heard of the isolated beaches of Punta Cana and don’t realize the possibility of being able to walk for miles on silky sands as sparkling turquoise waters embrace your feet and free your mind. If you don’t have a passport, try Puerto Rico. The hospitality and warmth of the local residents will only enhance your visit to one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. For those who really dare to dream, take a closer look at the continent of Asia. Explore Lantau Island while staying at a Five Star Resort in Hong Kong, or learn how large a part of Thai Culture the majestic elephant holds while you visit Pattaya, Thailand.

Having done some traveling myself in Central American and Europe, I realize there are obstacles attempting to thwart finding the perfect mix of availability and affordability in the search for your dream vacation destination. That is why you allow us to do it for you and come to SaveOnResorts.com. Maybe you have used us to travel to Orlando with one of our excellent vacation packages, providing accommodations AND Theme Park tickets. Perhaps you have visited Las Vegas for four days at a price which would normally only allow for one night of entertainment. Or, if you have yet to accumulate the appropriate amount of time off, you may still be searching for the perfect way to get away. Whichever category you fall in, it is never too early, or too late, to start planning for a dream vacation capable of providing the coveted deep breath, while at the same time whisking you to a destination that takes your breath away.
