Many call the Sea of Cortez , ''the richest sea in the world'', because of its abundance of marine and coastal fauna. The waters of Baja are host: marlin, sailfish, dorado, tuna and Wahoo. There are 500 fishing boats based in Los Cabos, from 20 to 24 foot pangas to luxurious fishing yachts.
Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
The crystalline waters teem with huge schools of neon-colored fish, eels, rays and other aquatic animals. Snorkeling excursions available, equipment and instruction is provided. For scuba divers, you'll find an underwater world just waiting to be discovered.
Golf
Palmilla Golf Club at the one and only Palmilla Resort was the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Mexico. There is also Cabo del Sol (another Jack Nicklaus course), the Cabo Real Country Club and many more spread out in the corridor and Cabo San Lucas.
Shopping
Los Cabos offers thousands of opportunities for shoppers. There are small stores and big malls, open-air markets and sophisticated boutiques. Here you can find almost any item made in Mexico: silver jewelry, blown-glass and ceramic objects, rustic Mexican furniture, clothing, sandals, masks and other handcrafts, as well as imported articles from all over the world.
